Camping in St. Augustine

We went to Anastasia State Park to go camping with friends. WP insisted on setting up the tent. He couldn't get past undoing the bows that kept the tent rolled up. The walk to the beach was beautiful... And fun!!! The kids were very excited about seeing a light house. The tide pools were so relaxing to lay in and perfect for the kiddos to play in. Back at camp, while we were waiting for the fire to burn down, a can of biscuits exploded. When I turned around to see what the noise was I saw the biscuit fall out of the sky and splat onto the dutch oven. It was so cool! The biscuit was saved, cooked and eaten later. The kiddos had a good time playing and exploring around the camp site together. Happy Birthday AW(root beer)!!! After everyone had eaten, GP was finally getting a chance to eat. He was only able to eat THREE foil dinners while everyone was enjoying their meal, so he had TWO to go. Earlier a raccoon had come up near the picnic table and lifted a grocery bag of yucky diapers for an appetizer. While GP was eating leftovers, the raccoon came back. We sent him away and figured that would end his investigation of campsite 27. But again, when GP and MW were finishing up, he snuck into camp and grabbed the last foil dinner from off the grate by the fire pit. We all laughed because everyone had eaten. GP would have gladly finished one more dinner, but after FOUR, he wasn't still STARVING! Later that night we were over-run with half a dozen or so raccoons, as he brought his friends to visit. They were all snorting like pigs, fighting by the table, and eventually left. It was an unbelievable and crazy night! WP found a millipede and kept saying that it's like a roller coaster because of the way it was crawling round and round on his hand and arm.
